Thursday 5th August 2010
10:00 am- 3:30 pm
This workshop is a professional development event bringing heritage art objects to the attention of new audiences. The presentation will examine contemporary methods of exhibiting Australian craft made during periods in the 19th and early 20th centuries. In particular, innovative approaches to researching and interpreting hand crafted items for diverse museum and gallery audiences will be showcased.
The ornate interior of Labassa, the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) French Renaissance style historic home, will provide an inspirational environment where delegates are offered a hands-on opportunity to learn new interpretation skills.
